韓国大統領府などへのサイバー攻撃に関する警察庁などの追跡調査は、個人パソコンなどが「ボット」と呼ばれるコンピューターウイルスに乗っ取られ、知らないうちに他国への攻撃に加担させられるという現実を突き付けた。 政府機関など攻撃対象に大量のデータを送りつける「ＤＤｏＳ(ディードス)」攻撃は近年、武力紛争の「武器」にされることもあり、情報セキュリティーの専門家は「攻撃の片棒をかつがないためにも、パソコンにきちんとウイルス対策をすべきだ」と訴えている。 通信事業者の団体などで作る「サイバークリーンセンター」（東京）は２００６年からの約４年間に、延べ５４万台のボット感染コンピューターを特定、駆除してきた。しかし、ウイルスは、迷惑メールに添付されて送りつけられるほか、特定のホームページに接続しても感染するなど、侵入経路は多岐にわたる上、毎月数万個の新型が現れるため、いたちごっこが続いている。 ボットは画
「ボット」を人ごとと思うユーザーに伝えたいこと
PCや携帯電話を不正に操作する「ボット」の問題が後を絶たない。改めてこのボットの実態や感染することの恐ろしさを紹介したい。 最近、PCやスマートフォンが「ボット」に感染するケースが多くなっている。ボットとは、他人がPCやスマートフォンのコントロールを奪い、スパムメールを大量に送信したり、特定企業などにDDoS（分散型サービス妨害）攻撃を仕掛けたりする凶悪なウイルスである。感染者は被害者であると同時に、加害者になってしまう。 筆者はこの問題を繰り返し提起してきたが、重要な問題であり、ボットを知らない、もしくは「人ごと」と考えているようなユーザーに向けた注意喚起として、改めてボットの実態や恐ろしさを取り上げてみたい。 日本におけるボットの実態 筆者の手元に118ページにも及ぶ資料がある。この資料は、2005年に国内で大々的に行われた調査の結果である。JPCERT コーディネーションセンターとT
