Googleが示す新たなニュース配信方式『Google Living Stories』とは? | ネット | マイコミジャーナル
米Googleは10月8日(現地時間)、新しいニュースサービス『Google Living Stories』を同社Labsサイト内で公開した。ただひたすらニュース記事を集めて分類を行うGoogle Newsとは異なり、Living Storiesでは初めから特定のトピックごとのニュースに注目し、リアルタイムで収集した情報を時系列ベースで追うことができる。今回サービスの公開にあたりNew York TimesとWashington Postの2紙と提携しており、これらサイトのオンライン記事を収集対象としている。 これまでGoogle Newsでは特定のキーワードに対するニュースの収集は容易だったものの、機械処理による大まかな分類、そして本来入手したい話題とは異なるニュースが多数検索結果に含まれるなど、使い方はユーザーの裁量に委ねられている部分が大きかった。Living Storiesでは現在
