Martin Odersky, creator of the Scala programming language, recently wrote a brief article describing levels of Scala expertise. Martin labelled the levels in increasing order: [A1, A2, A3, L1, L2, L3]. I wish to register a small objection here, with recognition of otherwise sound judgement. While the objection is small, I think the consequences of what I believe is an error, are quite detrimental.
