ゲーム依存の捉え方｜しましまにゃんこ
以前，『ゲーム研究の手引きⅡ』について紹介しました。今回は，この手引きで私が解説したキーワードのうち，「ゲーム依存」を取り上げて，内容をかみ砕きつつ，補足的な説明を加えていきたいと思います（『ゲーム研究の手引きⅡ』の紹介記事はこちらです）。 ゲーム依存の定義 ビデオゲームを過度に，かつ強迫的に使用することによって，社会的・感情的な問題が生じているにもかかわらず，プレイヤーがその使用を抑制することができないことと定義されています（Lemmens, Valkenburg, and Peter 2009）。ここで大切なことは，ビデオゲームの使用によって日常生活に支障をきたしているかどうかということです。たとえば，学校や会社に行かなければならないのに，ゲームを優先して外に出ようとしないというのであれば，ゲーム依存だということになります。 別のケースも考えてみましょう。ある子どもが1日のゲームは1時
