新聞、テレビ、雑誌など、既存メディアの地盤沈下が続いている。 昨年六月まで、私が所属していた夕刊紙『日刊ゲンダイ』も例外ではない。1990年代後半から部数が落ち込み始め、そのことは肌で感じていた。週刊誌も同じだ。19080年代後半、『週刊ポスト』と『週刊現代』は80万部発行されていたのに、現在では両誌とも40万部を切っている。サラリーマン向けの週刊誌はこの10年で半減したことになる。 週刊誌や夕刊紙が読まれなくなった理由にはさまざまな要因があると思う。 一つは、中心的な読者層であるサラリーマンの自由に使えるお金が減ったこと。ある研究所が毎年行っている調査によると、父親のお小遣いの全国平均は、1990年は7万円。それが2004年の統計から4万円を切り、現在は3万8900円。4万円の小遣いでは、お父さんが毎日昼ごはんを食べれば残りは1万5000円。週二回、仕事帰りに新橋で一杯飲んで家に帰ると、
