今日も Digg 経由で知ったネタ。いくつかのブログでも取り上げられていたので、ご存知の方も多いかも: ■ NameVoyager 「名前の航海者(Name Voyager)」という名前の通り、(アメリカ合衆国における)名前の傾向を探ることができるサイト。アメリカの社会保障庁(Social Security Administration, SSA)に申告された新生児の名前情報を集計し、グラフ化して表示してくれます(実に1880年から最近まで、120年以上のデータを集計!)。百聞は一見にしかず、なので説明するよりも見てもらった方が早いでしょう: 上の図はアクセスしたばかりのところ。グラフの横軸が時間で、縦軸がその名前を持つ赤ちゃんの数(100万人単位)になっています。ゴチャゴチャしていますが、青く表示されているのが男性の名前、赤く表示されているのが女性の名前になります。 グラフにカーソルを合
