My Rails 3.2 app uses OmniAuth and Devise to sign in with Twitter. The authentication system works fine. I would like to write an integration test in rspec to make sure everything works. Rails cron whenever, bundle: command not found
I am trying to use whenever to execute a rake task onces a day. I am using Authlogic-Connect for third party logins. Twitter Bootstrap: Text in navbar
According to the twitter bootstrap documentation, I should be able to "Wrap strings of text in a <p> tag for proper leading and color." When I do this, at any level under navbar it simply doesn't inherit any of the navbar classes. Wrapping the string in <a> tags renders it but it shouldn't be an anchor. The string I'm trying to render is "Logged in as ... ".
Rails random ActiveRecord while paginating
I am trying to display a series of photos in random order while paginating them. Trouble is, on each page of the pagination the random array is regenerated; so a user can see photos on page 2 that he's already seen on page 1. Lame. I'm porting the existing website from PHP to Ruby on Rails 3 and I have to keep the urls unchanged. I have the route: get 'companies/' => 'companies#index', :as => :companies In a view file I have: link_to 'Companies', companies_path and this generates the url "http://website.com/companies" instead of "http://website.com/companies/". I want the slash at the end of the url. Is it possible?

i was trying to list the instance variables inside a controller but came up with irb>HomeController.instance_variable_names => ["@visible_actions", "@inheritable_attributes", "@controller_path", "@action_methods", "@_process_action_callbacks"] and I tried it on the action irb>HomeController.action("index").instance_variable_names => [] so what do controller Instance variables belong to?
