きょうの新聞をご覧になった読者のみなさんの中には、何かが欠けている、と感じられた方も多いのではなかろうか。川崎市中１殺害事件の容疑者名が、どの新聞にも載っていない。 ▼テレビ、ラジオもしかり。しかも報道各社が、申し合わせて自主規制した結果でもない。逮捕された３人がいずれも１７～１８歳の未成年で、少年法で保護されているからだ。 ▼少年法６１条は、未成年者が訴追された場合、「氏名、年齢、職業、住居、容ぼう等によりその者が当該事件の本人であることを推知することができるような記事又は写真を新聞紙その他の出版物に掲載してはならない」と規定している。容疑者が訴追される以前も禁止されているかどうかは諸説あるものの、各社とも捜査段階から名前や写真の掲載を控えている。 ▼にもかかわらず、インターネット上には早くから容疑者とおぼしき人物の実名と写真、さらに、真偽不明のウワサさえ出回っている。しかも必ずしも違法
