Profile 東京都出身。3歳より父・村治昇の手ほどきを受け、10歳より福田進一に師事。 1989年 ジュニア・ギターコンクールにおいて最優秀賞を受賞。 1991年 学生ギター・コンクールにおいて、全部門通じての最優秀賞を受賞。 1992年 ブローウェル国際ギター・コンクール（東京）及び東京国際ギター・コンクールで優勝を果たす。 1993年 津田ホールにてデビューリサイタル。同年デビューCD「エスプレッシーヴォ」をリリース。 1994年 日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団と共演、協奏曲デビューを果たす。 1995年 イタリア国立放送交響楽団の日本ツアーにソリストとして同行。 ・第5回出光音楽賞を最年少で受賞。 1996年 村松賞受賞。 ・5月、イタリア国立放送交響楽団の定期演奏会に招かれ本拠地トリノにおいて共演、ヨーロッパ・デビューを飾る。このコンサートはヨーロッパ全土にテレビで放映される。
