Google Gears対抗か、MSがオフライン・フレームワーク公開 － ＠IT
2007/11/06 米マイクロソフトは11月4日、オフライン時にもWebサービスやデータベースアクセスを可能とする「Microsoft Sync Framework」のコミュニティ・テクノロジー・プレビュー（CTP）版を公開した。正規版リリースのスケジュールは明らかにされていない。 同フレームワークを使うことで、コンタクトリスト、音楽、ビデオ、画像や設定ファイルなど、あらゆる種類のファイルを最適化されたP2Pプロトコルで同期できるという。 Sync Frameworkは拡張可能となっていて、RDBMS、NTFS/FAT、RSS/ATOM、デバイスとWebサービスの同期が標準でサポートされている。Sync Frameworkは現在、Windows Server 2003、Windows Vista、Windows XPをサポートしている。
