クウェート国内のインターネットサービスプロバイダー(ISP)に問題があり、少なくとも1人のGmailユーザーが他人のGmailアカウントにアクセス可能になっていたという。Googleが米国時間2月20日に発表した。 クウェートのGmailユーザーであるAbdulaziz Al-Shalabi氏が19日にCNET News.comに語ったところによると、その日のほぼ全日、自分のアカウントに正常にログインできなかったという。しかし、それ以上に問題なのは他人の個人情報を見ることができたという点だ。同氏からの電子メールによると、ユーザー名とパスワードだけでなく、多数の個人的な電子メールや「重要なものに対するキーコード」などが閲覧可能だったという。「おそらく、これを書いている今も、誰か見知らぬ人が私の個人データをのぞいているのだろう」(Al-Shalabi氏) 同氏は結果として30以上のアカウントに
