By Scott Berkun, Aug. 28 2006 (#54) Writing is easy, it’s quality that’s hard. Any idiot who knows 5 words can write a sentence. It might be sloppy, confusing, or inaccurate but it is still writing. This means when people struggle to start writing they’re likely imagining the polished precision of the finished work. This is the trap. Thinking about the end at the beginning makes the clumsy junkyar
Everyone has to deal with difficult people, whether they are argumentative, abusive, stubborn, or combative. The question is, how can you assert your own rights without creating an unnecessary incident? In most cases, angry people are screaming to be heard. They want to be valued, loved, and listened to. They want to feel important but aren’t able to express themselves constructively. With the rig
This is a reminder. You probably already know all – or most – of this. But reminders can be useful. If your memory is anything like mine it’s like a leaking bucket. Since I’ve started to write things down more often I have also noticed – when reviewing old notes – how much my memory can leak. The memory isn’t very reliable. Every time we remember something we recreate what happened rather than jus
If you are a writer, you’ve probably wished that you could write faster, better, and easier. I have too. I’ve been writing for many years now and I’ve found some tricks that help. They just may help you too! Everyone has their own system, but sometimes learning about another person’s system can flip a switch that enables you to improve your writing. This system is about being organized and prepare
「11 Causes and Cures for Procrastination」です。
