【カイロ＝貫洞欣寛】約３０年にわたって強権支配を続けたムバラク政権が倒れたことで、政権べったりの報道を続けてきたエジプトの政府系「御用」メディアが、手のひらを返したように一斉に民主化を求める市民の動きを伝え始めた。 ムバラク大統領ら政権幹部の動向を常に１面で報じてきた政府系紙アハラムは、１２日付で「市民が政権転覆」「エジプト人ら、史上初の民衆革命を祝福」の大見出しを掲げて「革命」をたたえた。 同紙はこのところ徐々にデモ隊に好意的な報道を増やしていたものの、反政権デモが始まった日の動きを伝えた１月２６日付の１面トップはレバノンでの暴動に関する記事だった。カイロでの反政権デモは３〜４番手ニュースの扱いで、見出しは「数千人が失業問題などで平和的デモ」。一方、独立系紙マスリルヨウムは同じ日、１面全てをデモの報道で埋め、赤い文字で「警告」の見出しをつけ、大きな違いを見せた。 エジプト国営テレビ
