あまり意識をする必要はないと思います。 どうも日本人は礼儀が正しいせいか、日本語での敬語表現が厳密なせいかはわかりませんが、 不必要に"Could you"とか"Would you"という表現を使うような気がします。 街中で通りすがりの人に道を尋ねるとか相手の人が全くする必要のないことをお願いするなどをのぞけば、通常はpleaseだけでも十分です。 日本語訳をするとすれば Could you tell us about yourself ？ 「よろしければ自己紹介してもらえますか？」 Could you please tell us about yourself ？ 「よろしければ自己紹介をお願いできますか？」 Please tell us about yourself. 「自己紹介をお願いします。」 くらいの違いです。更に付け加えれば Tell us about yourself. では
