さて、本題。感度や偽陽性率といった用語の意味を確認したいときは、■特異度と偽陽性率と陽性反応的中割合とで引用した表を参考にせよ。 問題：甲状腺癌の2次検査の細胞診検査において7名が悪性と診断された。この検査の感度は90％（偽陰性率10％）、特異度は90％（偽陽性率10％）である。この7名のうち真に甲状腺癌であるのは何人か？ 報道によれば、福島県の子供約3万8000人に対する甲状腺検査において、２次検査で細胞診を施行されたのは76名である。76名のうち10名が悪性もしくは悪性の疑いありとされ、その10名のうち3名が既に手術を施行され甲状腺癌と診断が確定した。残りの7名はまだ確定診断に至っていない。3万8000人中の3人というのは、原発事故との因果関係があるかどうか断定できないものの、多発と言っていい数字であるのは確かである。スクリーニング検査による掘り起こしに過ぎないのか、それとも有意に甲状
