いわゆるシェールオイルやガスの産出量が増えて原油や天然ガスが値下がりしていることで、アメリカの大手エネルギー会社はガソリンなどを安く精製できるようになっているため、相次いで好調な業績を発表しています。 このうち全米首位のエクソンモービルは、去年１０月から１２月までの最終利益が前の年の同じ時期より６％増えて９９億５０００万ドル、日本円でおよそ９２００億円とこの５年間で最高でした。 また、２位のシェブロンは、最終利益が４１％と大幅に増えて７２億５０００万ドル、日本円で６７００億円でした。 これは、地中深くのシェール層という岩盤を砕いて、原油や天然ガスを取り出す新しい技術により、原油や天然ガスの産出量が増えて価格が値下がりしているため、ガソリンや産業用のガスなどを安く精製できるようになっていることが主な要因です。 シェール革命と言われるこうした動きは、アメリカで新たな雇用を生み出すなど景気回復の
