自民党の政務調査会は会合を開き、いわゆる従軍慰安婦の問題を巡って、朝日新聞が一部の記事を取り消したことなどを踏まえて、戦後７０年となる来年、新たな官房長官談話を出すよう政府に要請することを決めました。 朝日新聞は、いわゆる従軍慰安婦の問題を巡る自社のこれまでの報道を検証する特集記事を掲載し、この中で「慰安婦を強制連行した」とする日本人男性の証言に基づく記事について、「証言は虚偽だと判断した」として記事を取り消しました。 これを受けて、自民党の政務調査会は、政府がことし６月に従軍慰安婦の問題を巡り謝罪と反省を示した平成５年の河野官房長官談話の検討結果を公表したこととも合わせて対応を協議するため、会合を開きました。 この中で、出席者からは「朝日新聞の関係者を国会に招致すべきだ」という意見や、「河野談話の検討結果を国内外でしっかりと情報発信すべきだ」という指摘が相次ぎました。 そして、戦後７０年
