皆さんは、ブラウザのメニューをどのぐらい使っていますか？ Mozilla Labs では昨年春、メニュー項目の利用状況を把握するため、Firefox 3.6 のユーザ調査を実施しました。それによれば、よく使われる項目トップ 5 は、「ユーザのブックマーク項目」「コピー」「貼り付け」「アドオン」「戻る」だそうです。ただしこれはマウス操作に限定した場合。「コピー」や「貼り付け」などはキーボードショートカットを使う人が多いので、キーボード操作の数字と合わせると、結果は大きく変わってきます (興味のある方は、英語ですが 結果をまとめた記事 を見てみてください)。 この調査結果などを基に、Firefox 4 では、従来のメニューバーを廃止し、代わりによく使うメニュー項目をまとめた「Firefox ボタン」とブックマークをまとめた「ブックマークボタン」を新設しました。 Windows Vista と
