デロングが、以前ここで紹介した計算を繰り返したエントリをブログの最上段に掲げ、緊縮策が却って財政赤字を拡大させる危険性について強く警告している。 そこでふと、今週目にした5年ほど前の小黒一正氏の論文*1（H/T wrong, rogue and booklog）に、このデロングの考え方を適用したらどうなるだろうか、と考えてみた。 小黒氏の論文では、金利と成長率の比を確率変数と見做し、その変動による債務GDP比率の変化をシミュレートしている。そして、債務GDP比率が一定値に達したらそこで財政破綻と見做す、という仮定の下で、その破綻確率を計算している。いわば、債務GDP比率をノックアウトオプションに見立てているわけだが、ただし、その「権利行使価格」は何らかの推計で導き出したというよりは、2.5や3といった数値を試しに当てはめてみている、という感じになっている。 とりあえずExcel上で小黒氏の

最近3箇所のブログで政府債務に関する簡単な計算を行っているのを目にしたので、メモ代わりに簡単にまとめておく。 クルーグマン 現在の米国の債務の対GDP比率は75%であり、次年度の財政赤字の対GDP比率は7.5%となる。また、名目成長率は4%が見込まれる。 今、GDPをY、債務をDと表記すると、 において、右辺第一項はΔD/Y=7.5%、右辺第二項はD/Y＝75%とΔY/Y=4%を掛け合わせたものだから3%。従って、Δ（D/Y）＝7.5%−3%＝4.5%となる。 また、このGDP比4.5%の債務増分がもたらす金利負担は、金利を2%とすれば、GDP比にして0.045×0.02×100＝0.09%であり、1%の1/10にも満たない。 従って、次年度の財政赤字について大騒ぎするには及ばない、というのがクルーグマンの主張である。 カール・スミス 上式でΔ（D/Y）＝０となる定常状態を考える。その時、
