  • 社内輪読会で「Joint Inference of Named Entity Recognition and Normalization for Tweets」を紹介した - skozawa's blog

社内輪読会で論文を紹介した。 今回はACL2012からJoint Inference of Named Entity Recognition and Normalization for Tweetsを紹介。

    • How Facial Recognition Technology Can Be Used To Get Your Social Security Number

Those freaked out by facial recognition technology have fresh fodder: a study from Carnegie Mellon University in which researchers were able to predict people's social security numbers after taking a photo of them with a cheap webcam. At the head of the research team was Alessandro Acquisti, a CMU professor who pointed out in 2009 that the social security number system has a huge security flaw --

Machine Learning, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing… Codename Project Tegaki I wrote in a previous post about my first experiment with applying a modern technique, namely Hidden Markov Models, for handwritten Chinese character recognition. Google's latest object recognition tech can spot everything in your living room Automatic object recognition in images is currently tricky. Even if a computer has the help of smart algorithms and human assistants, it may not catch everything in a given scene. Google might change that soon, though; it just detailed a new detection system that can easily spot lots of objects in a scene, even if they

The error rate of professional transcribers is 5.9% for the Switchboard portion of the data, in which new

We can see the largest cause of errors is that the model is having trouble distinguishing between auxiliary verbs and particles for “で” and “に”, and that there are a number of other common segmentation errors, etc. It is also useful to look at the less common errors to get a grasp on the prevalence of unknown words, etc. Of course, there

Vehicle color information is one of the important elements in ITS (Intelligent Traffic System). In this paper, we present a vehicle color recognition method using convolutional neural network (CNN). Naturally, CNN is designed to learn classification method based on shape information, but we proved that CNN can also learn classification based on color distribution. In our method, we convert the inp

You hit the right place! There are basically two approaches. The classical one is to get some code (source or compiled as a library) and use it within your own application. A list of source codes, libraries, Software Development Kits, is listed below. The second emerging a
