今年、大阪と広島で相次いで「原告勝訴」の判決が下された、 原爆症認定集団訴訟。 「画期的判決」といわれたその意義とはどこにあったのか。 自身の被爆体験を原点に、被爆者治療と核廃絶運動に関わり続けてきた 「被爆医師」肥田舜太郎さんにお聞きしました。 ひだ・しゅんたろう １９１７年広島生まれ。 １９４４年陸軍軍医学校を卒業、軍医少尉として広島陸軍病院に赴任。 １９４５年広島にて被爆。被爆者救援にあたる。全日本民医連理事、埼玉民医連会長などを歴任。 現在、全日本民医連顧問、日本被団協原爆被害者中央相談所理事長。 著書に『ヒロシマを生きのびて』（あけび書房）、 『内部被曝の脅威』（共著、ちくま新書）など。 ２００６年５月、広島・長崎での被爆者の方々が被爆者援護法に基づく原爆症認定（注１）を求めた集団訴訟（注２）で、大阪地裁は原告全員を原爆症と認め、国が認定を却下したのは違法だとする判決を出しました
