Windowsのみ：名前が示している通り、『Universal Viewer』はどんなファイルでも開ける、ということを目指して作られたツール。ファイル受け取ったけど開けない、というのはいつの日も頭痛の種。パソコンがある程度分かる人ならググって何か開けるプログラムをダウンロードして、とめんどくさいだけですみますが、パソコン知識があまりない人にしてみると「このファイルは開けない。以上」で終わってしまう話なわけです。 『Universal Viewer』はマルチメディア、画像、ドキュメントなど各種に対応していますが、あくまで「全部のファイル形式への対応を目指した」ツールなので、全てのファイル形式が開けるわけではないです。 例えば、Microsoft OfficeのファイルはOfficeがインストールされていない限り対応していません。その他のほとんどのファイルはサポートされているので、余計な仕事を
