SERIAL SERVER By Dan O'Sullivan SerialServer relays bytes back and forth from an internet socket connection to a hardware serial port. It is sort of like an ethernet to RS232 converter. This is especially useful for software like Flash which has an easy time making socket connections and a hard time making serial connections.
