第5回 最先端NLP勉強会に参加してきました - a lonely miner
もう一週間ほど前になってしまうのですが，最先端NLP勉強会 という会に参加させていただきました． じつは昨年も参加するべく申し込みまでは行ったものの，事情があって参加できず．今年はなんとかリベンジを果たせました． 二日間で30本もの論文を読むこの勉強会，読む論文の選出プロセスにも工夫が凝らされています． 参加者全員が，対象となる会議の予稿集に目を通し，面白そうだと思った論文数本(今年は12本)に対して投票を行う． 多くの票を集めた論文，上位30本ほどを候補とし，参加者はその中から自分が紹介する論文を選ぶ． という二段階をとっているので，いわゆる「ハズレ」な論文が少なくなっており，どの発表もたいへん勉強になりました． 私が紹介したのは以下の論文， Mohammad Taher Pilehvar, David Jurgens and Roberto Navigli, Align, Disamb

■ OpenIDでWebサービスの認証をするのをやめた 自分のOpenID URLはこの日記のトップページを使っているんだけど、プロバイダとしてmyOpenIDにリダイレクトしている。そのmyOpenIDから珍しくメールが来ていたので読んでみたら来年2月にサービスを終了するとのお知らせ。ありゃー。まぁ、独立したOpenIDプロバイダには収益性がないもんなぁ。 で、他のサービスに切り替えればいいもんね……と思っていろんなプロバイダを使ってみたが、OpenID URLがリダイレクト先のサービスのものになってしまい、継続してこの日記のURLを引き継げない。これじゃOpenID使ってる意味がないなぁ。OpenIDの仕様が2.0で変わったせい?(←仕様の変化を追いかけてないのでいいかげんな推測) そもそもOpenIDそのものが風前の灯で、多くのWebサイトで使える認証サービスはTwitter/Fac

By AndYaDontStop 匿名通信システムであるTorへの接続ユーザー数が2013年8月19日から急激に増加するという現象が発生しました。これに対して、ネット上では「ネットユーザーがアメリカのNSA関連のニュースを危惧したため」などの憶測が飛び交いましたが、TorBlogやオランダのセキュリティベンダーであるFox-ITによると、原因はボットネットだったとのこと。 一方、セキュリティリサーチ会社Errata Securityが独自の調査を行って、TorがNSAに突破されやすい暗号キーを使用している可能性がある、ということを公式ブログで発表。Torの安全性が問われる事態となっています。 [tor-talk] Many more Tor users in the past week? https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-talk/201
