■フィードとは フィードとは、Webサイトのコンテンツのサマリーもしくは全文を、更新情報として配信することであることは周知の通り。 その配信方法、というか記述形式として、Blogに採用されて世界的に標準化されたのがRSS/Atomだ。 RSS/AtomはXMLに準拠しているメタデータだ。記述できる情報がある程度限られており、制限されているからこそ、誰もが扱いやすいフォーマットとして普及した。だから、結果として、フィード＝RSS/Atom、となり、RSSフィードあるいはRSS/Atomフィード、という呼び方もまた一般的になったのである。 ■フィードとしてのTwitter？ ところが、今年に入って、RSS/Atomから、フィードの主役の座を奪う勢いのサービスがある。それは他ならぬTwitterだ。 フィードは主に 1) サイトの更新情報を伝えてサイトに誘導するというプロモーションとして 2)
