My love of typography originated in the 80’s with the golden years of 8-bit home computing and their 8×8 pixel monospaced fonts on low-resolution displays. It’s quite easy to find bitmap copies of these fonts and also scalable traced TTF versions but there’s very little discussion about the fonts themselves. Windows 2K/XP の Font Link 機能を使ってみる
Windows 2K/XP には、Font Link と言う機能があり、半角英数に欧文フォント、全角に和文フォントを個別に指定できるみたい。 ということで、早速、Andale Mono + MS Gothic を組み合わせてみる。 設定の方法は以下の通り。ですが、設定の追加はレジストリを触るので自己責任で。 「ファイル名を指定して実行」に「regedit」と入力して、レジストリエディタを起動 \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontLink\SystemLink の中に新規文字列を作成 値の名前に「Andale Mono」、値のデータに「MSGOTHIC.TTC,MS Gothic」と入力してマシンを再起動 下の画像は、Windows XP + Macromedia Dreamweaver 8
