米Fujifilm、xD/SD両対応スロット搭載デジカメを発表
富士フイルムの米国法人Fujifilm U.S.Aは4日(現地時間)、xDピクチャーカードとSDメモリーカードの両方を記録媒体として使用できるコンパクトデジカメ3機種を発表した。 搭載されるスロットは、1つのスロットでxDピクチャーカードとSDメモリーカードに対応するタイプで、デュアルスロットではない。両対応スロットが搭載されるのはFinePix F40fd、A610、A800の3機種。 両対応スロットを採用した理由を同社は「北米、欧州、日本の主要3市場では、デジタルカメラ需要の50%以上が、すでにデジタルカメラを所有しているユーザーによるもの。これらのユーザーはxDピクチャーカードまたはSDメモリーカードをすでに持っており、両方のメモリカードに対応したデジタルカメラを発売することでさらに多くの潜在ユーザーを開拓できる。また、SDメモリーカード対応デジカメのユーザーも、メモリカードを買い換
