米国のソシアルソフトウェア開発ベンチャーSocialtextは9日(米国時間)、Webベースの表計算ソフト「wikiCalc」の開発者Dan Bricklin氏との提携を発表した。今後両者はwikiCalcの共同開発にあたるとともに、企業向けに一部機能を追加した派生版「Socialtext Open Source Edition」の開発を進める予定。 wikiCalcは、Webベースで実行可能な表計算ソフトウェア。Internet ExplorerやFirefoxなど主要なWebブラウザに対応、ネットワークを経由して複数のユーザが共同作業できるなどの特徴を持つ。wikiCalcの最新開発版(Beta 0.91)は、GPLのもとオープンソースソフトウェアとして公開中。 Socialtextは、wikiCalcと同等の機能を持つ「Socialtext Open Source Edition」を
