Googleが日本のIT教育を支援、5000台のRaspberry Piを提供へ――。 Googleの支援を受け、NPO法人CANVASがこの春から本格的に活動を開始したのが、子どものプログラミング学習を支援するプロジェクト「Programming Education Gathering(PEG)」である(関連記事)。狙いは、子どもが継続的にプログラミングを学習できる場やコンテンツの提供。このPEGのワークショップを監修するのが、青山学院大学・津田塾大学 非常勤講師の阿部和広氏だ。プログラミング学習のツールとして、なぜ子どもたちに小型のPCボードであるRaspberry Piを提供するのかを同氏に聞いた。
