the american gallery of psychiatric artというサイトがある(あった。残念ながら今はもうない)。1960年代から現在に至るまでのアメリカの精神科薬の広告アート集である。どういうわけかアメリカの広告アーティストたちは、精神科の薬の広告では、患者の感じている恐怖感や抑うつ感といったものを表現せねばならぬ、と思いこんでいたらしく、ぎりぎりと歯を食いしばる男やら闇の中にうずくまる女やら、見ているだけで不安にかられてきそうなほどおどろおどろしい図案ばかり。なんと、笑顔の絵柄が登場するのはようやく90年代になってからである。どうやら、薬が効いて楽になった状態を描いてもいいのかも、とアメリカ人もやっと気づいたらしい。 さて、同じようなサイトの日本版ができないものかと思い、医学図書館にあった古い精神医学雑誌をぱらぱらとめくっては、薬の広告(薬ではないものもあるが)を集め
