Mini 9の裏蓋を開けると、もともとついている無線LANカードはBroadcom BCM94312MCGと書いてあった。PCIeのMiniCard型。 これをIntel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGNに交換した。 理由は、もともとインストールされていたOSのUbuntuをバージョンアップしたら無線LANが使えなくなったから。 いろいろ調べて試行錯誤したがどうにもうまくいかず、最後にとった手段がこれ。 結果はあっさりOK。Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Rimix。 手順はつぎのとおり。1. 2箇所ネジを外し、裏蓋を開ける。 2. 無線LANカードの2箇所のネジを外し、スロットから取り出す。 3. 黒と白のアンテナケーブルをカードから外す。 4. 新しいカードの「1」に白、「2」に黒のアンテナケーブルを接続。スロットを下にして左が「1」で右が「2」。真ん

20090626 Ubuntu 9.04 - Installing the BCM4309 using NDISwrapper Unfortunately all the open-source drivers for the Broadcom cards leave a lot to be desired. On the BCM4309, the b43legacy driver seemed to be the only one that worked but it was unstable as hell, connecting only at 1 MBps and constantly failing to authenticate with my wireless router and never connecting at all on my school's network.
