I'm running Mac OS X Snow Leopard which comes with Perl 5.10.0 installed but I'm trying to upgrade to 5.12.2. I've read that you shouldn't install over the perl install in /usr/bin/perl which I haven't - I've installed into /usr/local/bin/perl. I've changed the hash bang line on a test script to look at this new Perl install and added 'use 5.012' but I'm still getting an error message when saying
