グローバルサウスという言葉はあまり好きではないが、一応、インド経済論として簡単に去年の秋ぐらいに書いたもの。 グローバルサウスという言葉が2023年の注目ワードだった。どうも厳密な定義はないようだが、ざっくりいうと中国やインドなど、政治や経済、安全保障面などで世界から注目を集めている新興国の一群を指している。 例えば、ブラジル、南アフリカ、サウジアラビア、インドネシアなどの国々をグローバルサウスの中心国として挙げることに異論はないだろう。半世紀前くらいには「南北問題」といわれた「南」と似ているが、そのときは「北」に属する欧米や日本に比べると経済発展の面で問題を抱え、貧困や格差、政治的不安定が解決すべき課題だった。だが、グローバルサウスには負のイメージよりも、米国中心の覇権システムに対抗する多極化する世界像が伴っている。 最近のできごとでは、G20サミットのインドでの開催が注目を集めていた。

去年の夏前くらいに雑誌に投稿した論説。基本的な認識ではあまり変わらないが、むしろ中国共産党のデフレ放置にも思える政策状況や中国不動産市場の低迷の深さについては最近さらに悪化している。それについてはここ最近のこのブログでも補っているし、ラジオや新聞の論説でも言及しているところである。とりあえず一年近く前のものだが掲載する。 中国経済が、過去の日本と同じようにデフレに陥るかもしれない。上海のロックダウンに象徴される新型コロナウイルス対策をやめた当初は、急成長に期待する向きもあった。だが、実際には欧米の景気の失速や、米中対立によって輸出が減速している。輸出の減速は製造業を中心とした雇用を悪化させ、民間消費を落ち込ませる原因になっている。 他方で、不動産市場の低迷が中国経済の重石になっている。中国では不動産市場は重要な位置にあり、GDPの約11％。建設業などの関連部門を合わせると経済全体の３割強に
