私はなぜAndroidアプリではなくて、iPhone/iPadアプリを作っているのか
「中島さんは、なぜAndroid向けにもアプリを作らないんですか？」という質問は良く受ける。「色々な情報が左脳に入った結果、右脳が本能的に出した結論」というのが一番正直な答えだ。 私がここのところiPhone／iPad向けのアプリケーションばかりを開発しているのは、iPhone OSが先進的だからとかiTunesストアで一儲けできそうだから、なんて「理論的」な考えに基づいた話じゃなくて、iPhone／iPadというデバイスが魅力的だから、その上で自分で作ったアプリを走らせたくて仕方がないから、というもっと直感的・感情的な、言い換えれば「右脳からの指令」に従っただけのことである。 これから日本のメーカーもAndroidケータイやAndroid家電を出すことになると思うが、その時に意識しておいてほしいのは、「Androidを載せた」だけでたくさんの魅力的なアプリが集まるなんてことは全くの幻想で
