肺や心臓を傷めるのは辛い。それは生命の危機に直結する。最近そういうことと少し関わりがあったので気づいたことがある。 私は時々何か人がしゃべってるだけの録音が聞きたくなる。 気に入ってるものは独のEdition BlockがディストリビュートしているArthur KopckeのＷＡＳ ＩＳＴ ＤＡＳという作品。カードボードに収まった簡素な冊子と、その冊子を読み上げる年老いた？作家の声のＣＤ。これが独語で一体何を言ってるのか分からない。よく聞くとテープレコーダのノイズも混ざり音質は決して良いとは言えないが、なぜか安堵感が漂う。大きな声になるとそれが部屋に響くのが聞こえる。どんな部屋に居るのか。どういう人生を送ったのだろうか。時折自動車の音がかすかに聞こえる。声を含めた全体の響きの柔らかさ。その声質から語られる内容は想像できない。どこかに住んでいた知らない人の声。内容が分からなければそこまでだ。
