上の写真が10年前の東京駅だ。下が現在。たった10年前なのに、当時の東京駅の昭和っぽさがすごい。地面が赤茶色だ。 このときぼくは31歳で、上野から築地の海までまっすぐ行く途中だった。道路や建物を無視してまっすぐ行くのだ。意味が分からないかもしれないが、とにかくその途中で撮った東京駅が残っていた。 八重洲口にでかい屋根がついたのは2013年のことだ。グランルーフという。 駅舎を大正当初のデザインに復原した次の年にできた。 そういえば東京駅、復原したんだったね！といま思い出した。街の風景がいったん変わると、なかなか元のようすが思い出せない。
