認知症の患者を介護している人の年齢は、３０年前に比べて７０歳以上の人の割合が３倍以上に増えて３７％に上り、老老介護が進んでいることが患者を介護している家族の会の調査で分かりました。 「認知症の人と家族の会東京都支部」は、介護している人を対象に電話相談を行っていて、昨年度とその３０年前について相談内容などの変化などを比較しました。 その結果、介護している人の年齢は、３０年前は７０歳以上の割合が１２％でしたが、昨年度は３７％と３倍以上に増えていて、老老介護が進んでいることが分かりました。 認知症の人の家族構成は、３０年前は５９％に上っていた「３世代や４世代同居」と「親と子ども夫婦」の割合が、昨年度は１３％に減った一方、「単身」や「夫婦」、「親と子」の割合が合わせて３６％から８６％に増えました。 また、介護している人と認知症の患者の関係では、３０年前は最も多かった息子の妻の割合が４３％から７％に
