This project combines programming languages and machine learning for building statistical programming engines -- systems built on top of machine learning models of large codebases. These are new kinds of engines which can provide statistically likely solutions to problems that are difficult or impossible to solve with traditional techniques.

Initialization at Start of an R Session Description In R, the startup mechanism is as follows. Unless --no-environ was given on the command line, R searches for site and user files to process for setting environment variables. The name of the site file is the one pointed to by the environment variable R_ENVIRON; if this is unset, ‘R_HOME/etc/Renviron.site’ is used (if it exists, which it does not

We study the effects of the Internet, especially with respect to routing on public Blockchains, taking Bitcoin as our use case. To that end, we first uncover the impact that Internet routing attacks (such as BGP hijacks) and malicious Internet Service Providers (ISP) can have on Bitcoin (see paper). Next, we provide a concrete relay design that guarantees connectivity to the Bitcoin network even i

I am a final year PhD student working in Kevin Schawinski's black hole group at the Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics at ETH Zurich. My research focuses on galaxy evolution, especially the impact of AGN feedback on the quenching of star formation, and black hole seed formation. This dataset contains 4381 thermal infrared images containing humans, a cat, a horse and 2418 background images (no annotations). We provide manually annotated ground truth for all humans, cat and horse. The dataset is divided into 8 sequences and contains both 16bit (may appear black on most screens) images as well as the downsampled 8bit images. The uniform sampling rate allows the usage of trac

Summary OAuth is a critical component of the Internet infrastructure. OAuth enables the user to authorize a third-party application or service to obtain limited access to any service or account owned by the user. The security of the OAuth protocol is therefore paramount as otherwise large-scale loss, theft, or corruption of user data can be the result. To this end we want to bring together experts
