Debugging Munin plugins 0. Restart munin-node (new plugins require munin-node to be restarted to register the plugin) # sudo /etc/init.d/munin-node restart 1. On the host where Munin runs, run munin-update as the Munin user account. This step will tell you whether munin (the server) is able to communicate with munin-node (the agent). # su -s /bin/bash munin # /usr/share/munin/munin-update --debug
Writing a Munin plugin is astoundingly simple. If you know where the data is and know a minimum of scripting in perl/shell/awk/sed or something like that you can do it. In way of explaining it all we'll write two plugins the simplest way. Since I'm kind of old school I'll use shell and shell tools for these plugins. You can do them completely in perl or any other language you like. Load average pl

This wiki page has therefore been set to "Read only" and later will be purged. munin.conf is the configuration file for all scripts of Munin master. When pre-packaged, it's usually located in /etc/munin/, while if compiled from source it is often found in /etc/opt/munin/. The programs using it are munin-update, munin
This article refers to version 1.4 of Munin. TLS functionality is not available in Munin 1.2. TLS setup If your Munin installations resides in a hostile network environment, or if you just don't want anyone passing by with a network sniffer to know the CPU load of your Munin nodes, a quick solution is to enable Munin's built-in Transport Layer Security (TLS) support. Other tricks involve using SSH

Forbidden You don't have permission to access /munin/ on this server. /etc/munin.conf のファイルを読んでみると、muninは /var/cac
