CGアニメ映画で今一番突っ走ってる会社といえばピクサーだ。フルCG映画を作っているのはピクサーだけじゃない。でもピクサーが作る映画は他と違う。だいたい絵作りに凝りすぎるとロクなCG映画にならないんだけど、ピクサーの映画は綺麗な絵がより映えるストーリーや演出が徹底的に考えられてて、演出が絵に負けてない。それもこれも、いまや天才アニメ監督として名を馳せるジョン・ラセターやここで紹介する「ウォーリー」の監督であるアンドリュー・スタントンなどの強力な演出スタッフのなせる技と言えよう。 …なんて綺麗にまとめてみましたが、オイラはこの手のCG映画が正直苦手。登場キャラのツルツルしてバタくさい顔がダメなのよ。ストーリーも良いし背景、動きの表現なんかはすごいと思うんだけど、くどい顔でペラペラしゃべる擬人化キャラを見るとげんなりして、どうしても楽しめない。止め絵と省略が持ち味の日本製アニメに毒されてるせいか
