Twitter、Q＆AサービスのFlutherからエンジニアと設計者を買収
Twitterは米国時間12月21日、FlutherというQ＆Aサービス分野の新興企業から4人のエンジニアと1人の設計者を「買収」したと発表した。両社の説明によると、Flutherは閉鎖されるわけではなく、Flutherの開発作業は停止されるものの、コミュニティーマネージャーが今後も同サービスのメンテナンスを行うという。 Fluther製品自体は買収されていないため、この案件は最近Facebookによって有名になった人材獲得とは種類が異なる。FacebookがDrop.ioやHot Potatoといった企業を買収したことには、企業に在籍しているエンジニアや製品リーダーを手に入れるという明確な目的があったが、これらのケースではソフトウェア自体も買収され、大半のケースでサービスは終了となっている。 Flutherに在籍していたエンジニアたちは今後、Twitterのコンテンツ発見テクノロジに携わ
