ソリューションアーキテクトの荒木です。 UNIVERGE IX2000/IX3000シリーズ : UNIVERGE IX2105 | NECを試すことができたのでVPCに対してAWS DirectConnect接続してみました。これは、前回のVPNで接続する方法と合わせてご覧ください。 こういったネットワーク機器にありがちなことですが、つながってしまえば呆気無いです。 私が試したIX2105のバージョンは8.8.22であるため、 neighbor 169.254.100.1 receive-capability override という記述が必要でした。これは、http://jpn.nec.com/univerge/ix/faq/bgp4.html#Q1-10にも案内がありますが、IPv4 Unicastとroute-refresh以外のBGP Capabilityを使えるルータが対向にい

とはいえ、VPCは物理的な線があり、NICがあるいわゆる物理環境と違うのも事実です。そしてAWSがサポートしていないことがいくつかあることがわかっています。それはIPv6対応であり、Multicast対応であり、イーサネットフレームのコピーであったりします。そんなことを実現するために、トンネリングがしばしば使われます。 その方法は多数知られています。パケットをいじる以上、そのいじり方に応じてトレードオフがあり、それぞれの目的のために実装も異なります。標準化されている方法としては、IP-in-IP (rfc1853)、Generic Routing Encapsulation (rfc2784)が、よく使われています。また、ネットワークデバイスの仮想化技術として知られるTUNとTAPもよく使われています。乱暴ですが、これらをまとめると次のようになります。
