I have an app which compiles and runs fine in older Macs with Intel processors in physical devices & iOS simulators. The same app also compiles and runs fine from newer Apple Silicon Mac with M1 processor with physical iPhone devices, but it refuses to be compiled for iOS simulator. Without simulator support, debugging turn around time gets gets really long so I am trying to solve this issue. Not
I am trying to get a large (and working on Xcode 11!) project building in Xcode 12 (beta 5) to prepare for iOS 14. The codebase was previously in Objective-C, but now it contains both Objective-C and Swift, and uses pods that are Objective-C and/or Swift as well. I have pulled the new beta of CocoaPods with Xcode 12 support (currently 1.10.0.beta 2). Pod install is successful. When I do a build, I
Currently, when I try to add an annotation to the map in the user's location the annotation is not showing up. When I set the annotation (using the same code) besides the user's location it does show up. The code: let annotation = MKPointAnnotation() annotation.coordinate = coordinate // set coordinate annotation.title = "Title" annotation.subtitle = "Subtitle" mapView.addAnnotation(annotation)
Since I updated to the latest Xcode version 11.0 (11A420a) the debugging is extremely slow and cumbersome. EDIT: After updating to 11.1 GM (11A1027) the problem is still the same. Compiling a project and running it in simulator or on a device is no problem. However when reaching a breakpoint Xcode becomes more or less unusable: Program execution stops immediately when the breakpoint is reached. Ho
I am upgrading my app to use the new UIScene patterns as defined in iOS 13, however a critical part of the app has stopped working. I have been using a UIWindow to cover the current content on the screen and present new information to the user, but in the current beta I am working with (iOS + XCode beta 3) the window will appear, but then disappear straight away. Here is the code I was using, that
A large part of my app consists of web views to provide functionality not yet available through native implementations. The web team has no plans to implement a dark theme for the website. As such, my app will look a bit half/half with Dark Mode support on iOS 13. Is it possible to opt out of Dark Mode support such that our app always shows light mode to match the website theme?
