アマゾン、Kindle Storeでの売り上げ分配比率を変更--70％を出版社へ
Amazon.comは米国時間11月8日、Kindle Storeを介した定期刊行物の販売によって同社が得た売上高のうち、新聞や雑誌の出版社が得る比率を増加すると述べた。 Amazonは、12月1日から出版社は、販売された新聞や雑誌の小売価格の70％を得ることができると述べた。これまで30％と報じられていた売り上げ分配比率が大幅に増加される。この比率の適用を受けるためは、出版社は定期刊行物を、自社が権利を持つすべての地域において、すべての「Kindle」対応デバイスおよびアプリケーション向けに提供する必要がある。 この動きの目的は、出版社に対してAmazonのKindle Storeで提供するコンテンツの量を増加し、おそらくは消費者にとってより魅力的な価格で提供するように促すとともに、同ストアを競合他社よりも人気の高いコンテンツ提供先とすることにあるようだ。 Kindle Periodic
