マイクロソフトの社内用Linuxディストリビューション「CBL-Mariner」とは
「MS-Linux」や「Lindows」といった名称ではないが、Microsoftは今や、独自かつ純粋な汎用Linuxディストリビューション「Common Base Linux（CBL）-Mariner」を持つようになっている。そして、ほかのLinuxディストリビューションと同様に、ユーザーは自らでダウンロードし、実行することができる。驚くべき話ではないだろうか。では、次の段階はLinuxで「Windows」アプリケーションを実行できるようにするというものだろうか。いや、それももう可能になっている。 ここで万感の思いを込めて、筆者とLinus Torvalds氏の言葉をもう1度聞いてもらいたい。MicrosoftはもはやLinuxの敵ではない。Amazon Web Services（AWS）やGoogleとは敵対関係にあるかもしれない。しかし、Linuxとは敵対していない。 例を挙げると、
