CNET Japanによると、ブラジルの判事は現地時間9月24日、「iPhone」の商標を使用する排他的権利を保有するというブラジル企業IGB Electronicaの主張を退ける判決を下したと伝えています。 当初は、AppleがブラジルでiPhoneの商標を使用する権利はないと判断されていましたが、今回それを覆す判決がくだったそうです。 Fernandes判事は判決文で、AppleのiPhoneは「世界的に有名」であると述べ「（Appleの）製品に対するすべての名声と顧客の支持は、製品としての性能と卓越性に基づいて築き上げられたものである」と理由を述べているそうです。 また、IGBが発売したGradiente iphoneについては、「internet」と「phone」を組み合わせただけのものであり、Appleは既に、「i」の付く広範囲にわたる製品ラインを複数の国で登録していると判事は述
