ブラザヴィルまたはブラザビル(フランス語: Brazzaville)は、コンゴ共和国の首都。コンゴ川下流に面する。コンゴ川を挟んだ対岸にはコンゴ民主共和国の首都キンシャサがあり、この二つの都市で大都市圏を形成している(双子都市)。首都が隣り合っているのは世界でここだけである[疑問点 – ノート]。2023年国勢調査速報によると人口は2,145,783人で、総人口の35パーセントが居住する国内最大の都市である[1]。 行政上は県と同格の特別市であることから、ブラザヴィル県(Département de Brazzaville)とも呼ばれる。 1880年、フランス人の探検家ピエール・ブラザが当時ンタモ(Ntamo)と呼ばれていた町を発見し、自分の名を取ってブラザヴィルと命名した。 1910年、フランス領赤道アフリカが成立し、ブラザヴィルにはその植民地政府が置かれた。 第二次世界大戦中の1944
