あまり考えずに、消費税に関する議論で気になることをつらつらと書いておく。 これは経済学の議論ではないけれども、正直言って、消費税引き上げがまだ凍結されてないことに驚いている。これまで散々、消費税を上げるのは不人気だと思い知らされてきたのにだ。もし僕が今現在の人気だけ気にする政治家であれば、消費税の再度引き上げは絶対に阻止するとか言いたくなると思う。もしかしたら、ブログやツイッターとかで見かけるほどには反対意見が強くないのかもしれない。あるいは、政府は、近い将来のデフォルトの危険性を真剣に憂慮しているのかもしれない。いづれにしても驚きだ。 経済成長率が予想より減速しているから、今は消費税を再度引き上げるのにいい時期ではない、景気が回復してから引き上げようという意見をよくみる。だが、消費税率を上げる最適な時期に関する理論があるのか？おそらくは消費税を上げることで現在の消費者から将来の消費者へ所
