Linux等UNIX系のOSでは、Net-SNMPを使えば柔軟にリモート監視が行える。しかし企業のネットワークでは、全てのサーバがUNIXというケースはあまりなく、Windows 2000 ServerやWindows Server 2003なども動いているだろう。今回はWindowsサーバのSNMPエージェントについて考えてみよう。 Windowsには、SNMPエージェントが標準のサービスとして含まれている。管理ツールの「サービス」を開き、「SNMP Service」の状態が「開始」になっているか確認してみよう。 Windows標準のSNMPサービスは、標準のMIB-2以外にもRFC1514で定義されている「HOST RESOURCE」をはじめ、LAN Manager、DHCP、WINS、IISなど様々なMIBをサポートしており、ネットワーク関連の監視情報は豊富に取得できる。が、その一方
