アップデートの必要性 必要か必要でないかで言うとWordPressのアップデートは、必要です。 長い間、放置すると自サイトの維持が難しくなるかもしれません。 厳密に言うと自動でアップデートする場合とそうでない場合とがあります。 上記の記事の中でも書きましたが、wp-config.phpをカスタマイズしていない限り設計上、マイナーアップデートの場合は自動的にアップデートされます。 したがって今回は、マイナーアップデートなのでされているかもしれません。 ただメジャーアップデートは、手動でのみアップデートが可能です。 アップデートではバグの解消だけでなくセキュリティの更新や機能の追加などです。 それにともなってテーマやプラグインのアップデートがあるのです。 それと別にサーバーによっては PHPのアップデートがある場合もあります。 そういった場合に2年や3年放置しているとサイト事態のデザインなども
